I had some one tell me once:

"OMG! This Kimono I got from Forever21 last week.....is sooooo Vintage!"

Is it??? Is it sooooooooooooo...Vintage?

Is it really???

"How old does something need to be, to be considered Vintage?"

This is a question I get all the time...

My Grammy always said, "Any item older than 25 years is Vintage." So that's the rule I go with ;-)

But, according to GOOGLE this is the definition of Vintage,

"Most will say something qualifies as vintage if it's 20 to 25 years old or older. In fact, the online shop Etsy, which allows users to sell vintage and handmade goods, requires items labeled vintage to be at least 20 years old. On the other hand, old is relative."

On Quora I found this definition of Vintage,

"📷Rashmi Nagaraju, Founder at Dekorizzle India (2015-present)Answered May 27 2016

Vintage is usually an adjective denoting something from the past of high quality, especially something representing the best of its kind. Usually 25 years (for clothing) and older for other products like Furniture and is totally dependent on product you are referring to."

So, can we agree that VINTAGE clothing items need to be btwn 20-25 years old? That means, if you got a Jacket last year, from Charlotte Rue, it's NOT Vintage ;+)

What's your Rule for what age is considered Vintage?
